Overview

Sustainable development is a term used to describe the use of resources in a fashion that aims to preserve the environment, while still meeting the needs of humans and industrialization. Since the early 1970's, the term "sustainability" came about to describe economies in "equilibrium with basic ecological support systems". Sustainable development can be environmental, economical, and sociopolitical.
